A new chapter on Nørrebrogade

You might know Sappa from Falafel Factory. Now he is behind Kubideh – a new restaurant at Nørrebrogade 63 serving Persian street food, the kind of food he wants to eat every day himself.

The signature is kubideh kebab from the grill – in a roll or as a platter with rice, sumac, saffron, yoghurt dressing and red cabbage salad with pickles. And yes: crispy falafel and grilled halloumi are on the menu too.

Hi everyone. You probably remember me from Falafel Factory. I've made something delicious: Iranian street food, Persian street food, with rolls and platters of kubideh kebab, halloumi and falafel. Super tasty!

But our signature is this new kubideh with rice, sumac, saffron, yoghurt dressing and a really tasty red cabbage salad with pickles – hot pickles and tasty pickles.

So come down and visit us. We're still at the same place: Nørrebrogade 63. And don't worry, we still have the falafel.

The story behind Kubideh

Sappa has been cooking at Nørrebrogade 63 since 2016 – many know him from Falafel Factory. With Kubideh he starts a new chapter: a new restaurant with Persian street food, the kind of food he wants to eat every day himself – fresh, carefully selected ingredients and traditional methods combined with creative new ideas.

The signature is kubideh – the classic Persian grilled kebab. It is served in a roll or as a platter with rice or bulgur, grilled tomato, sumac, pickles and yoghurt dressing.

Crispy falafel and grilled halloumi are of course on the menu too.

What is kubideh?

Kubideh – also spelled koobideh or kabab koobideh – is a classic Persian kebab of seasoned minced meat, shaped onto wide skewers and grilled. It is one of the most popular kebab dishes in Iran and is usually served with rice, grilled tomato and sumac.

At Kubideh in Nørrebro you get it as Persian street food: in a roll with tomato, onion, sumac, parsley, pickles and yoghurt dressing – or as a platter with rice or bulgur, red cabbage salad and pickles.
